You're a lot closer to a finely tuned digital world than you think. Use these files and tips to make your PC faster, smarter and safer.

The old saying, "You get what you pay for" doesn't always apply. Here are a few FREE* programs that we feel will make your computing experience a more painless one.

Virus Removal and Protection Software:

AVG Anti-Virus FREE Edition by Grisoft provides a
top-notch level of protection and can be configured for automatic scans and updates.

Virus Removal Software:

While this program does not protect your computer, it will assist you in removing pesky critters from your hard drive. After which time, your anti-virus software can do its job once again. As well, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free can be installed and run in "Safe Mode". We have had great success with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free.

If you are still experiencing problems, or you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, we are always available to make sure that you are adequately protected or diagnose the issue further.

Discounts are available for corporate software versions. Contact us for more information.

*Free for home use only. This means you get basically the same programs that corporations use, but you don't have to fork out the big bucks to use them.

Here are a few ideas to help make your computing experience a more positive one:

  1. Make sure that you have Anti-virus and Anti-Spyware software installed and up to date.

  2. Nothing ruins your day like a computer that won't compute. Infections will slow your computer down, potentially damage files or just make the computer unusable. Protection is easier than you think. See our download section above for more info.

  3. Keep your operating system up to date.

  4. Both Microsoft and Apple release regular updates to add new features, fix software bugs and close security holes. It's really important that you install these updates.

If you are still experiencing problems, or you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, we are always available to make sure that you are adequately protected, or diagnose the issue further.

  5. Make sure that your computer has enough memory (RAM) for Windows to run properly?

  6. Microsoft Windows will not run properly if there isn't enough RAM in your computer. Generally, Windows XP (Home and Pro) will run adequately with 512MB or more and very well with 1GB or more. Windows Vista and Windows 7 require a minimum of 2GB (2048MB) to run properly. Macs running Snow Leopard 10.6 or Lion 10.7 require at least 2GB to run well.

As our customers know, we are not in the business of "up selling". We offer hardware and software as a value-add and provide them to you at our cost.

  7. PLEASE BACKUP! - Back up those digital photos, songs and data before it's too late.

  8. With so many of us having made the jump to taking digital photos, the traditional photo album is going the way of the dinosaur. Safely keeping your precious photos for a lifetime becomes a real challenge. Burned CDs and DVDs are only rated to last up to 20 years.

In our opinion, the best long-term storage solutions are either an online backup service, such as Mozy,, or storing them on an external hard drive* and make regular backups.

*We can help you select the correct external hard drive for your needs and provide it for you at our cost.
